Qualifications

  • Working knowledge or experience in the healthcare sector or similar.
  • Working knowledge or experience in the security field.
  • Good working knowledge of security systems.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Flexibility, reliability and ability to work a 12 hour shift pattern on days or nights.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Ability to show initiative while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Full UK Driving Licence for Manual Vehicles (essential).

Responsibilities

As a key member of the St. Andrew's security team your key responsibilities will be maintaining security systems and records. Duties will include key management, processing staff and visitors, managing and responding to all emergency incidents including fire and intruder alarms. Internal and external patrols of the site. This role will have specific responsibility for supporting the female patients in our care.

St Andrew's Birmingham is a 118 bedded adult mental healthcare facility comprises of eight units that cover medium and low security for both Men and Women. Located in Stirchley, a vibrant area in South Birmingham, easily accessible by road networks and public transport.
