A leading energy company in the UK is seeking a proactive Security Guard for its Sizewell B Power Station. The role includes managing security duties such as access control and patrols, and requires a minimum education of GCSE or equivalent. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach. The salary ranges from £35,059 to £45,641, complemented by additional shift pay and comprehensive benefits. We are looking for a Security Guard to join our team at Sizewell B Power Station.
The successful candidates will be required to carry out security duties, including personnel and vehicle access control, patrols, maintaining appropriate security records and searches with particular emphasis on modern security techniques. Full training will be given in all aspects of the job.
The salary range associated with this role is £35,059 to £45,641 with an additional allowance of shift pay in line with the appropriate salary point (£11,723 to £13,363). You'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

You will ensure that all activities, including those undertaken by contract partners, are carried out with full regard to site licence requirements, security agreements, statutory regulations, company and local directives, procedures and safety rules.
Undertaking and advising on general security guard duties.
Maintaining appropriate records of occurrences and all logs related to the security department and producing management printouts and/or reports as requested.
Successful applicants must demonstrate a pro‑active approach and be able to work flexibly as a member of a team with the minimum level of supervision.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which ordinarily requires you to have been a resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
