Job summary

A global energy leader seeks bp shipping cadets for an intensive training program in marine engineering. This unique role offers the opportunity to cruise the oceans while gaining internationally recognized qualifications in just three years. Candidates will engage in both academic and hands-on learning, covering essential engineering and safety procedures. A minimum of 56 UCAS points and residency in the UK are required, along with a commitment to training that includes shift work at sea. Generous allowances are provided during the training period.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old by 1st September 2026.
• Applicants need to pass an industry-standard medical examination.
• Normal place of residency must be in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Split time between maritime college and sea.
• Learn about workshop skills, engineering science, and marine electrical systems.
• Work day shifts and support watch keeping in the engine room.

Education

56 UCAS points and 4 GCSE's at grade B/6 (or above)

Successful completion of maritime/engineering HNC/HND
