Qualifications

Science Technician

Job description: Carlton le Willows are looking to appoint a Science Technician to join our academy in November 2025 on a full time, permanent basis.

Your new role

As the Technician for the Science department, you will work closely with the Head of Department to support teaching and learning by ensuring equipment and resources are prepared and in good working order to facilitate effective lessons on a daily basis.

Results

With a consistent record of high academic attainment, Carlton le Willows remains one of the top performing schools in the area, achieving the best ever results in the school's history this summer. Results for 2025 saw 85% of students achieve a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths, compared with a 65% national average. In total 69% of students secured a strong pass of a Grade 5 or above in those two core subjects, far exceeding the national average of 46% and meaning we are placed well above similar schools nationally.

A level students in our high performing sixth form also celebrated strong results with more than 91% of the cohort securing a place at their first choice university, retaining our reputation for academic excellence post 16.
