Job description
Duties as Science Technician:
  • Prepare and set up materials and equipment for Science lessons and practical experiments.

  • Maintain, clean, and safely store laboratory apparatus and chemicals.

  • Support teaching staff during lessons, including assisting with practical experiments as required.

  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the Science department.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of equipment and resources.

Ideal Science Technician:
  • Previous experience as a Science Technician or similar role desirable.

  • Knowledge of Science laboratory practices and health and safety procedures.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills as Science Technician.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting teaching and learning.
