Teacher of Physics – Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire (AL8 6YR)

Prospero Teaching is working with an Ofsted‑rated Good secondary school that is looking to recruit a NQT or experienced Teacher of Physics. The position starts in January 2026 (or sooner) and is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5.
  • Support a positive, respectful, and high‑achieving learning environment.
  • Participate in free CPD and in‑school training opportunities for staff development.
Contract Details
  • Location: Hertfordshire, Welwyn Garden City (AL8 6YR).
  • Position: Teacher of Physics.
  • Type of work: KS3 / KS4 / KS5.
  • Contract start date: January 2026 (or sooner).
  • Contract type: Temporary or Permanent.
  • Full time.
  • Minimum rate of pay: Paid to scale Outer London Fringe.
  • Hours: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm, plus parents' evenings.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of the Science curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills and enthusiasm for the subject.
