Job Description

We are in needs for a Science teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team in a Staffordshire secondary schools. This full-time role will see you teach a broad range of Science topics across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to students in Key Stage 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and high-impact lessons, helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific principles, and preparing them for their GCSE exams.

We are looking for someone with the passion to inspire students in the sciences and a dedication to raising standards of achievement and behaviour. As part of the Science department, you will contribute to a collaborative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Developing and implementing differentiated learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Using a variety of teaching methods (practical, theoretical, and digital) to engage students in the subject matter.
• Regularly assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and setting challenging targets.
• Supporting students in their GCSE exam preparation, including the delivery of revision lessons and supporting extracurricular activities like science clubs or trips.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and ensuring a positive, focused learning environment.
• Contributing to the Science department's continuous improvement, sharing best practices, and collaborating with colleagues.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the Science curriculum and any changes to exam specifications.

Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE level.
