Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher
Location: Bristol
Pay: £165 – £230 per day (dependent on experience, equivalent to M1–M6)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

The role

We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher who enjoys bringing curiosity to life in the classroom. You’ll deliver a broad, balanced and engaging science curriculum across a range of abilities, helping students build confidence, think critically and make sense of the world around them.

You’ll play an active role in raising attainment, closing learning gaps and supporting students’ academic progress, while also contributing to their wider personal and pastoral development.

What you’ll be doing
  • Teaching engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where applicable)
  • Planning and delivering well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Developing schemes of work and practical resources
  • Monitoring, assessing and reporting on student progress and attainment
  • Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour, organisation and classroom routines
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals
  • Contributing to curriculum development and whole-school improvement
  • Supporting students’ wellbeing alongside their academic journey
  • Taking part in trips, enrichment activities and wider school life

Safeguarding and fluency

This role requires fluency in spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently for extended periods.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
