The Education Network is a leading supply teaching agency currently recruiting Sports Coaches / Graduates on behalf of several schools in Durham.

Due to high demand, we aim to expand our pool of Sports Coaches/Graduates to work in secondary schools on both a daily and long-term basis.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work across various schools, enhancing your teaching experience.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months experience working with students aged 11-18
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about education
  • Possess NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, including introducing and closing lessons, following instructions from senior staff
  • Completing class registers
  • Maintaining positive classroom management and a conducive learning environment
  • Demonstrating enthusiasm, confidence, and independence
  • Ensuring students stay on task and complete work
  • Assisting students and responding to questions appropriately
  • Following lesson plans and collecting completed work and resources
  • Adhering to school policies and handling emergencies effectively
  • Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and behavior
