The role of the School Nurse in Barnardo's Health quality & Inclusion team, is a national hybrid position working across the organisation.
Are you a Specialist Community Public Health (SCPHN) School Nurse driven by a desire to make a difference to the lives of children, young people, and families? We are looking for an experienced Nursing Midwifery Council registered professional, to help us achieve our purpose at Barnardo's: Changing Childhoods, Changing Lives.
Barnardo's has a new 3-year strategy, which identifies the need to support those children and young people who are at greatest risk of poor health. Barnardo's national Health Quality and Inclusion Team are integral to ensuring the success of this strategy.
This is an extremely exciting time to join Barnardo's and the Health, Quality and Inclusion team. We are an ambitious and dynamic team, that include both clinical and non-clinical experts, enabling Barnardo's to become a leading integrated Health and Social Care Charity.
Barnardo's is here because too many children and young people across the UK are missing out on a good childhood, and on the opportunity to thrive into adults. We are looking for a dynamic and creative School Nurse with a solution focused approach to help drive and identify opportunity and improvements in our current and future public health 0-19 services across the country.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer and cultivating a culture where everyone can belong and thrive through inclusion and connectivity. We want our workforce to be reflective of the communities we work with, and for equality, diversity and inclusion to be embedded in everything we do. We are a Disability Confident Leader, are progressing our ambition to be an anti-racist organisation with Anti-Racism Commitments and actions in place and have networks for colleagues who are disabled, LGBT+, Black and Minoritised Ethnic and Women. We particularly encourage applications from Black and Minoritised Ethnic and/or disabled candidates who are currently underrepresented in our workforce. For disabled applicants, we offer reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
