School Cook in Charge - Wirral Area

32.25 hours per week | Term time only (39 weeks)

Salary: £20,852 - £21,034 (Actual)

Start Date: As soon as possible

People Dynamix Education are working with a welcoming primary school in the Wirral area who are seeking a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic Cook in Charge to run their school kitchen on a fixed-term basis.

The Role

The school is looking for someone who can confidently run the kitchen independently, preparing and cooking fresh meals daily for up to 50 SEN pupils. You will be responsible for the full day-to-day running of the kitchen, including:

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving meals to a consistently high standard
  • Ensuring the kitchen maintains its 5 Food Hygiene Rating*
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies and minimising food waste
  • Working in line with the school's strong eco-values
  • Communicating warmly and effectively with pupils, staff and visitors
  • Supporting special school events and contributing positively to school life
  • Cleaning and maintaining all kitchen areas to the highest standard
