Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Cook to assist the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor in meal preparation and cooking. You will work as part of a team to provide a hygienic service, supporting customer satisfaction and promoting uptake of the service.

You will handle record keeping, hygiene controls, stock management and staff supervision as part of daily kitchen operations and service provision.

Qualifications

• HACCP knowledge and food safety awareness.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Shortlisting will rely on application form responses.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full range of meals, including dietary requirements.
• Record keeping and hygiene/temperature control in the kitchen.
• Supervision of other staff and operating service points.
• Stock-taking, stores organisation and deliveries receipt.
• General kitchen duties and maintaining cleanliness.
• Promote the service to parents, principals and customers.
• Ensure premises security and adapt to delegated duties.
