Job summary

Education Authority invites applications for a Catering Assistant to join the school catering unit. You will participate in daily operation under the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor, with a focus on hygienic service and promoting meals to pupils.

You will handle basic food preparation, simple cooking, dining area setup, serving meals, and general kitchen duties while complying with statutory requirements and the school's ethos.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages and vegetable preparation.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks, including transported meals.
• Promoting meals to pupils, parents and the school community.
• Maintaining liaison with the central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Preparing the dining area and setting tables and serving points.
• Maintaining kitchen/dining room cleanliness and general duties.
• Cleaning厨房 area and equipment, including floors and walls.
• Recording temperatures for control purposes as required.
• Carrying out duties to comply with legislation and codes of practice.
• Completing duties within the scope of the job and related grade.
• Upholding the values and ethos of the School.
