A Scottish local authority is seeking a candidate for a clerical position at St Francis RC Primary School. This role focuses on financial management, administrative support, and supervising staff while maintaining confidentiality. Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 32.35 per week, 39 weeks sessional
To provide and operate financial management, integrated management information and budgetary information systems and services for the school. To manage and provide the delivery of a wide range of administrative, clerical, secretarial and general office support services.
The postholder is responsible for the management, organisation and supervision of administrative support staff. Within the framework of Council and Departmental procedures, s/he will determine priorities, allocate work to staff, monitor performance, respond to problems arising and generally ensure that services are operating effectively.

This post is regulated work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undertake a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
