Job summary

A healthcare organization in Scotland is seeking a full-time Receptionist/Clerical Officer to provide clerical support in a busy clinic. Receptionist/Clerical Officer, 37 hours per week, Permanent

Patient Services

A vacancy has arisen within the AHP Administration Team for a full-time Receptionist/Clerical Officer, who will be predominantly based at Aberdeen Health Village (office based position).

The AHP Administration Team is a large, city-wide team, providing clerical and administrative support to the Allied Health Professions, including Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Speech & Language Therapy.

Overview

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual, who has excellent communication skills and enjoys working closely with the general public. As part of a fast-paced team, you will be required to adapt to an ever changing environment and must possess the abilities to cope with change, prioritise workload and manage time pressures with ease.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the AHP teams and assist at reception as required.
  • Greet and assist patients and members of the public, handling enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation (electronic and paper) and support filing and data entry tasks.
  • Use IT systems effectively; good keyboard skills are required. Training will be provided for the Patient Management System (PMS) if needed.
  • Assist with workload prioritisation and adapt to changing priorities in a busy outpatient environment.
