Overview
Do you have deep SAP ECC and SRM technical knowledge and a passion for optimising complex systems? Are you ready to play a crucial role in delivering high-quality internal SAP support for a mission-led organisation that serves 2.7 million people? As the internal technical lead for SAP, you'll work at the heart of a dynamic team, ensuring our SAP systems deliver maximum performance and user satisfaction. You'll be the primary contact for advanced troubleshooting, responsible for liaising with internal departments and our external SAP partners to resolve incidents, implement upgrades, and continuously improve functionality. You'll also contribute technical expertise to the evaluation and planning of future system replacements within our ERP landscape.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the go-to technical expert for SAP ECC and SRM systems across modules such as HR, ESS, MSS, Payroll, Projects, FICO and Procurement.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex incidents, testing fixes in the QAS environment, and overseeing configuration changes.
- Working closely with users and business leads to optimise SAP functionality, improve reporting, and provide user-friendly guidance.
- Liaising with internal departments and our external SAP partners to resolve incidents, implement upgrades, and continuously improve functionality.
- Playing a key role in the wider strategic direction of our ERP platforms, contributing technical expertise to the evaluation and planning of future system replacements.
- Embracing AI to enhance operations and to innovate our services while prioritising skilled, human talent.
Qualifications
- Experience in a senior SAP technical analyst role.
- Strong configuration and support knowledge across core SAP modules.
- Deep understanding of cross-module integration and dependencies.
- Experience developing documentation, training content, and test scripts.
- Proven experience with SAP role and authorisation management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify technical language for non-technical audiences.
- Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- Relevant SAP certifications highly desirable.
- ITIL experience is also required.

Details
This is a fixed term role for 24 months with a salary of £47,539 - £52,886 per annum. Salary will be based upon skills and experience.
