Hyatt Regency Birmingham is ideally located in the heart of the city centre, adjacent to Symphony Hall and within walking distance of the International Convention Centre (ICC), Brindley Place, and the Bullring shopping centre. This contemporary four-star hotel offers direct access to the vibrant canal area and is a short stroll from Birmingham New Street Station. The hotel features 319 spacious guest rooms and suites, 12 versatile event spaces, a modern restaurant, a traditional pub-style bar, and a luxurious spa with an indoor pool and fitness centre.

The role

Reporting to the Groups & Events Manager, the role involves day-to -day management of the hotel’s groups, meetings & events. You will be responsible for building strong working relationships with clients by ensuring you maintain regular contact by phone, email and in person.

Some of the key tasks include but are not limited to:

Manage group and event enquiries from initial contact to post event follow up, ensuring prompt communication, accurate proposals and exceptional client satisfaction.

Provide friendly and knowledgeable site visits with clients.

Communicate effectively with internal operational teams to ensure seamless event execution and a consistent guest experience.

Maintain meticulous records of all bookings and event details within internal systems, ensuring accuracy & clarity.

Attend sales functions, meetings, and exhibitions as required.

Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance event offerings and drive repeat business

Qualifications

About you:

The ideal candidate will have gained experience in a similar role, preferably within a hospitality environment. We are looking for an excellent communicator with a strong eye for detail and good sales and negotiation skills. You are highly organised and bring a passion for planning and service excellence.
