A leading recruitment consultancy is seeking a Sales Engineer for commercial and industrial heat pumps and chillers. This role involves field sales, targeting M&E contractors and consultants, with significant revenue goals. Qualifications

  • Proven track record in the sales of HVAC or renewable products.
  • Ideally sold heat pumps or chillers for commercial or industrial applications.
  • Technical product knowledge but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Field sales role selling heat pumps and chillers.
  • Spend 50% of time with M&E contractors and consultants.
  • Meet revenue targets of £500,000 year 1, £1m year 2.

Overview

Sales Engineer – Commercial and Industrial Heat Pumps and Chillers

Responsibilities
  • Field sales role selling a distribution range of commercial and industrial (100kw+) heat pumps and chillers, plant supply only
  • 50% of your time will be spent selling into M&E contractors, 50% winning specifications with M&E consultants (small element of FM and end user work)
  • P redominantly a new business role, although you will inherit a pipeline of circa £3m-£4m
  • Revenue target year one circa £500,000, year 2 £1m
  • Typically project sizes £200,000-£400,000 (circa £100,000-£150,000 per chiller)
  • Sector targets; commercial, industrial, healthcare and education
  • Delivering high spec climate solutions
Ideal applicant / Qualifications
  • Must have a proven track record in the sales of HVAC or renewable products
  • Ideally sold heat pumps or chillers for commercial or industrial applications
  • Mix of engineering and sales background may be advantageous
  • Network of contacts within M&E consultants and M&E contractors
  • Technical product knowledge but not essential and full product training will be provided
  • Door opener/ new business hunter
  • Autonomous and self-starter
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organised, able to manage own day-to-day
  • Energetic and passionate
