Your role

Are you looking to take the next step in your sales career with a company that values expertise, initiative, and collaboration? We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our market-leading team, specialising in Compressed Air solutions.

As part of our field sales team, you’ll help strengthen customer relationships, support our growth across the UK Industrial Gases market, and promote an industry-leading portfolio of high-performance equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Building, developing, and nurturing strong customer relationships across the North West/Midlands region, working closely with the National Sales Manager and wider team to meet shared growth goals.
  • Preparing clear, competitive proposals and pricing strategies to win new business and support existing customers.
  • Leading product demonstrations, attending exhibitions, and contributing to successful negotiations.
  • Carrying out site surveys and offering accessible technical advice to both new and existing clients.
  • Ensuring excellent after‑sales support at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Managing and motivating a network of distributors within your territory.
  • Providing accurate and timely reporting on sales activity, pipeline development, market trends, and performance insights, including visit reports, lost order feedback, and budget updates.
Qualifications
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in capital equipment or technical products.
  • Knowledge of the compressed air industry is beneficial, but not essential.
  • A technical qualification or background is helpful but if you have strong sales skills, a positive attitude, and the willingness to learn, we’ll provide full product training.
  • A full UK driving licence (this is a field‑based role with regular travel).
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage clients and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Effective organisation, time management, and a proactive approach to planning and meeting targets.
