About the Role

As an SDR, your main goal will be to prospect and qualify new business opportunities with senior decision-makers across the UK&I. You will work highly collaboratively with experienced Sales Account Executives to win new business. You will be responsible for introducing GoCardless to new customers, identifying their pains, uncovering opportunities, and growing the pipeline through email outreach, LinkedIn messaging, video and phone calls. This will entail researching and identifying relevant stakeholders in the sales decision‑making process.

Responsibilities
  • Introduce GoCardless to new customers, identifying their pains, uncovering opportunities, and growing the pipeline through email outreach, LinkedIn messaging, video and phone calls.
  • Research and identify relevant stakeholders in the sales decision‑making process.
  • Develop and pursue accounts through outreach techniques and handover qualified leads to sales account executives.
  • Maintain and drive prospect activity on Salesforce.com, tracking outreach and sales pipeline.
  • Use data and research to craft personalized messaging across multiple channels.
  • Actively engage prospects via email, LinkedIn, video, and phone calls to qualify leads and nurture them to a fully qualified lead.
Qualifications
  • No prior experience required; sales and customer‑facing experience in any setting (recruitment, property sales, B2B, B2C) is a plus.
  • Experience in outbound B2B sales role is beneficial.
  • Experience in customer‑facing roles and competitive target‑oriented environments is beneficial.
  • Highly motivated to maximise activity and over‑achieve targets.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunger to succeed.
  • Experience using Salesforce, working in a start‑up or FinTech company is beneficial.
  • Can talk passionately about what GoCardless does.
  • Good at motivating yourself and teammates; positivity and camaraderie.
  • Can articulate GoCardless’ value proposition in new sectors.

Salary

Salary range: £28,808 - £43,200 + 100% OTE. Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.
