A contemporary art gallery is seeking a full-time Sales Assistant to support a Senior Partner. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in contemporary art, excellent communication skills, and be very organized. Responsibilities include managing the Partner's calendar, assisting artists and studios, and providing administrative support. David Zwirner seeks a full‑time Sales Assistant to work alongside one of the gallery’s Partners. The Sales Assistant will fulfill administrative assistant duties as well as liaise with curators, artists and clients for the Senior Partner.
Superior writing skills, the ability to time‑manage and meet deadlines and a thorough working knowledge of contemporary art are required. This position will involve significant contact with artists and long‑time clients and other art industry professionals; therefore discretion and poise are essential. This position may be scheduled Mondays‑Fridays or Tuesdays‑Saturdays depending on gallery needs.
Candidates must be diligent, extremely organized and possess excellent time‑management and communication skills.
