Job summary

Plumb Centre Stratford is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter, recommend products and manage deliveries. The role is full-time, typically 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with two Saturday mornings per month (08:00–12:00 overtime paid after training).

The ideal candidate will have experience in face-to-face sales, strong communication skills, and a customer-first approach. Plumbing knowledge is beneficial and a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Knowledge in plumbing & heating beneficial.
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach.
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van doing deliveries.
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse.
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

This is a full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm and two Saturdays per month, 08.00am - 12.00pm (paid as overtime) once trained.
