Plumb Centre in Plymouth is seeking a Part Time Sales Assistant on a fixed-term contract to July 2027. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 with one in three Saturday mornings. You will help customers at the counter, make product recommendations, and support warehouse tasks as needed.

The position offers £20,021 per year plus bonus and benefits, including pension, discounts, healthcare, and more. Prior face-to-face sales and customer service experience is essential.

• Experience in trades/retail or plumbing knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a Part Time Fixed Term Contract until July 2027 working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
