Job summary

Wolseley’s Plumb Centre in Belfast is hiring a Sales Assistant to support trade customers at the counter. You’ll identify needs, offer product recommendations, and respond to inquiries by phone and email.

The role includes outbound follow-ups, driving branch sales, and some warehouse duties with heavy stock handling. The ideal candidate has plumbing and heating knowledge and experience in face-to-face sales and customer service.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience is required.
• Warehouse experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter by identifying requirements and recommending products.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the branch, engaging new and existing customers.
• Carry out general warehouse duties including stock intake, put-away, picking and packing orders, and heavy lifting.

As a Sales Assistant based in Belfast, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 17:00. Overtime may be required.
