Wolseley UK Limited, operating Plumb Centre in Bolton, is seeking a Sales Assistant to serve customers on the trade counter and support delivery and warehouse tasks. The role offers a £26,695 base salary, bonus potential and a broad range of benefits.

You will respond to enquiries by phone and email, identify sales opportunities, and help ensure the branch runs smoothly. Driving is a bonus for local deliveries and a positive, team-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• A Driving Licence is beneficial.
• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
• Driving a 3.5T automatic van making deliveries to customers local to the branch.

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm with the occasional Saturday morning 08.00am - 12.00pm.
