Job summary

Wolseley is hiring a Sales Assistant for the Plumb Centre in Glasgow. You will serve customers at the trade counter, offering product recommendations and quotations and helping to drive repeat business.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with Saturday mornings on a rota basis. You’ll respond to enquiries by phone and email, and perform warehouse tasks such as stock handling and order packing.

Qualifications

• Retail sales and customer service experience.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Comprehensive training provided.
• Plumbing and heating industry experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Assistant based in Glasgow you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy items.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm, plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm paid as overtime.

• Plumbing and heating industry or merchant experience is beneficial but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
