Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited, trading as Plumb Centre in Belfast, is hiring a Sales Assistant. You will serve customers at the trade counter, respond to enquiries by phone and email, and contact previous customers to win back business.

You’ll drive sales within the branch and handle warehouse tasks, including stock intake and order picking, with occasional heavy lifting. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.

As a Sales Assistant based in Belfast, you’ll be responsible for:

This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 17:00. Overtime may be required.
