Job summary

Plumb Centre Fareham, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant. You will serve customers at the trade counter, offer product recommendations and quotes, and build relationships to maximise lifetime value.

This full-time role runs 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with bonus potential and excellent benefits. Knowledge of plumbing & heating is beneficial and strong customer service is essential.

• Experience in face-to-face sales or customer service.

• Willing to be a strong team player and support in all branches.

Job description

As a Sales Assistant based in our Fareham branch you'll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders.

This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 7:30am - 4:30pm.
