Job summary

Wolseley in Glasgow is seeking a Sales Assistant to join the Plumb Centre team. You will serve customers on the trade counter, understand their needs, provide product recommendations and quotes, and help drive repeat business.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 7:30-5, with Saturday mornings on a rota 8-12 paid as overtime, a bonus potential, and benefits including a pension, healthcare, leave, discounts, and Cycle to Work.

Qualifications

• Retail sales and customer service experience.
• Plumbing and heating industry or merchant experience is beneficial but training will be provided.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to work across the branch.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy items.

Salary: £26,695 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm, plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm paid as overtime.
