Job summary

Wolseley Group, via Plumb Centre in Northampton, seeks a Sales Assistant to support the branch with customer service, counter sales and deliveries. The role is full-time, 40 hours, with early starts and monthly Saturday overtime after training.

Salary starts at £26,695 plus bonus and excellent benefits. You will drive a 3.5t van, assist customers face-to-face and help in warehouse duties while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Confident with Van driving
• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5t van for branch deliveries and local customer collections
• Assist customers at the trade counter with product recommendations
• Handle enquiries via phone and email with a proactive attitude
• Carry out general warehouse duties including picking, packing and stock handling

Responsibilities

• Driving 3.5t van for branch deliveries and collections to local customers
• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse

This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 6:30am - 3:30pm and one Saturday per month, 08:00 - 12.00pm (paid as overtime) once trained.
