Job summary

Plumb Centre in Poole is seeking a Sales Assistant to support our trade customers and drive sales from the Poole branch. You will assist customers, suggest products, and handle enquiries by phone or email while delivering friendly, professional service.

This full-time role includes stock duties and a 40-hour week, with benefits such as a matched pension, potential bonuses, and discounts. Plumbing knowledge is a plus, and teamwork is essential.

• Plumbing & heating knowledge is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock and picking/packing orders, involving heavy stock.

Sales Assistant based in our Poole branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.
