Job summary

Wolseley Group's Plumb Centre in Fareham is hiring a Sales Assistant to help trade customers, advise on plumbing products and quote prices. The role is full-time, 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm.

You will build relationships, respond to inquiries by phone and email, and support warehouse tasks. The position offers £27,600 base salary plus bonus and a strong benefits package including pension, annual leave, discounts and health cover.

Qualifications

• Experience in face-to-face sales or customer service.
• Strong communication and a customer-first approach.
• Team player and willing to support in all branch areas.
• Knowledge of plumbing & heating is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing quotations.
• Build relationships with customers to drive repeat business and maximise lifetime value.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone & email with prompt, courteous quotes.
• General warehouse duties including stock booking, putting away and picking/packing orders.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Fareham branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders

This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 7:30am - 4:30pm.
