Job summary

Plumb Centre in Morecambe, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a proactive Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter, understand their needs and recommend appropriate products. You will manage local deliveries and maintain strong customer relationships through phone and email assistance.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a salary of £26,695 plus bonus and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van doing local deliveries to customers daily
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

This is a full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm.

We’d like you to have

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
