Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant for the Bromsgrove branch. The role involves serving trade customers, handling enquiries by phone and email, and driving branch sales.

It is a full-time position with 40 hours per week and weekend mornings on alternating Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have plumbing and heating knowledge (ideal), strong face-to-face sales experience, excellent customer service, and a team-oriented attitude with a readiness to learn and

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their needs and giving product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Making outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identifying opportunities to drive sales within the branch and engaging customers.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties including stock booking, picking, and packing.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Bromsgrove branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
