Plumb Centre in Derby (DE24 8HJ) is recruiting a Sales Assistant for our Derby branch. The role offers a salary of £26,695 plus bonus and excellent benefits, with full-time hours and weekly shift pattern including Saturdays on a rota basis.

You will serve customers at the trade counter, provide product recommendations, handle enquiries by phone and email, and drive sales while supporting warehousing tasks. Join a team focused on great service and career development.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Derby branch you'll be responsible for:

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.30am - 4.30pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Requirements

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience
• Warehouse experience
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
