Job summary

Wolseley's Plumb Centre in Finchley is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter with informed product recommendations and to respond promptly to enquiries by phone and email.

You will also call previous customers to win back business and drive branch sales while performing light warehouse duties and supporting stock control in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous face to face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Team player willing to assist across the branch.
• Eagerness to learn with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Sales Assistant based in our Finchley branch you'll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience
• Warehouse experience
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic

£26,695 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
