Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant in Finchley. You will serve customers on the trade counter, offer product advice, and respond to inquiries by phone and email.

This full-time fixed schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 with alternate Saturday mornings 08:00-12:00. Benefits include annual leave, a matched pension, potential bonuses and access to discounts and healthcare.

Qualifications

• Face to face sales and customer service experience.
• Experience in a warehouse environment.
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Finchley branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
