Plumb Centre in Swindon (SN2 8QE) is hiring a Sales Assistant. The role combines customer-facing trade counter work with local deliveries in a 40-hour week. You will help customers select products, advise on solutions and manage stock in a busy branch.

Responsibilities:

• Driving a 3.5T automatic van making deliveries to customers in the local area
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system, putting it away, and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy stock (e.g., boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets)

Role Details:

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00 am - 5.00 pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00 am - 12.00 pm.

Requirements:

• A Driving Licence is essential
• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal
• Previous Face-to-Face sales and customer service experience is essential
