Job summary

Plumb Centre in Stratford is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter, support deliveries, and provide excellent service. The role includes warehouse tasks and merchandising within a busy branch environment.

The successful candidate will have face-to-face sales experience, strong communication, and a customer-first mindset, with a full UK driving licence. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Stratford.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial.
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position.
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch.
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van doing deliveries
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Stratford branch you'll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van doing deliveries
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

This is a full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm and two Saturdays per month, 08.00am - 12.00pm (paid as overtime) once trained.
