Job summary

Plumb Centre in Morecambe is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team. This full-time role involves assisting customers at the trade counter, delivering locally in a 3.5t van, handling inquiries by phone and email, and maintaining branch displays with high standards.

The position offers a salary of £26,695 plus bonus and excellent benefits, including extensive leave, pension, healthcare, and discounts. Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, in-branch work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a face-to-face sales/customer service role.
• Strong communication and customer-first approach.
• Excellent teamwork and willingness to learn.
• Full UK manual driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their needs and recommending products.
• Delivering locally in a 3.5t van to customers daily.
• Handling enquiries via phone and email with a proactive, positive attitude and building strong relationships.
• Carrying out warehouse duties including picking/packing and stock handling.
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van doing local deliveries to customers daily
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

This is a full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm.
