Job summary

Plumb Centre in Stratford is seeking a Sales Assistant to support trade customers at the counter, offering product recommendations and handling inquiries. You will drive a 3.5t van for deliveries and assist with warehouse tasks and merchandising.

The role is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday 8am–5pm with two Saturdays per month (overtime paid). Knowledge of plumbing and heating is beneficial, and a full UK driving licence is required.

• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van delivering orders to customers.
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong relationships.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking/packing orders and stocking in the warehouse.
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Stratford branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van doing deliveries
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

This is a full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm and two Saturdays per month, 08.00am - 12.00pm (paid as overtime) once trained.
