Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant for the Kidderminster branch. You’ll serve customers at the trade counter, offer product recommendations, and handle enquiries by phone and email, with a proactive approach to win back business.

In this full-time role, you’ll identify sales opportunities, assist new and existing customers, and perform warehouse duties as needed. The position requires plumbing knowledge and a customer-focused mindset, with a supportive team

Qualifications

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

As a Sales Assistant based in our Kidderminster branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.30am - 4.30pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
