Position and Location
  • Position: Sales Account Manager
  • Location: St Neots
  • Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 (DOE)

Sales Account Manager required to join a well-established engineering company based in the St Neots area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, expanding, and identifying new and existing sales opportunities. Increasing and securing sales, whilst ensuring that customer orders are successfully and efficiently completed.

Job Overview
  • Creating and securing new business.
  • Nurture and grow existing customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to attain the best price for customers.
  • Prepare quotes and close deals in line with company policies and profit margins.
  • Follow up quotations for speedy deal close.
  • Use all available communication tools, from telephone, e‑mail, and social media platforms i.e. LinkedIn.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Track and report sales performance and customer feedback.
  • Maintain and develop a healthy pipeline of lead generation.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to deliver customer expectations.
Job Requirements
  • Must have at least 2 years' experience within an Account Manager, Business Development Manager or similar position.
  • Ability to read engineer drawings.
  • Dynamic and tenacious without being aggressive.
  • Results-driven, proactive and self‑motivated.
  • Positive with a can‑do attitude.
  • Team player, working with colleagues to deliver the best customer experience.
  • A real desire to reach and smash targets.
Salary & Benefits
  • Full time - Permanent position.
  • Salary - £31,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
  • Quarterly bonus.
  • Private Health Insurance – includes dental, optical and online GP services.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus additional service leave.
  • Pension.
