Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to service members across the UK, starting and finishing from home. You’ll handle diagnostic work, roadside repairs, and emergency breakdowns with a focus on fast, safe solutions.

Requires Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence. You’ll work ~40 hours weekly with overtime options and a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform supplied from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Troubleshoot faults and advise members with confidence.
