Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Youwill start and end at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided, and you’ll work in demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week.

The role requires Level 2 maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years' relevant experience and a full UK driving licence, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle faults and complex repairs with confidence for members.
