Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs across the UK. You start and end each day at home and work around a 40-hour week, with optional overtime.

You’ll be equipped with an RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit to support efficient, safe responses on the roadside.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home and tackle challenges head-on with high-quality service.
