Job summary
RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, repair vehicles at the roadside, and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years' experience, you’ll deliver quick, confident solutions and excellent member service.
You’ll start and finish your day at home, work around 40 hours per week with optional overtime, and receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit to help you get the job
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
- 2+ years' experience as Roadside Technician or mechanic.
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
- Willingness to work variable shifts and on-call roadside duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
- Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions while maintaining member service.
- Work with company van, tools, and diagnostic kit to complete calls.
