Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, delivering quick, confident solutions across the UK for RAC members.

You’ll start and finish at home with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit. Requires NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and 2+ years’ experience, plus 5+ years as a Technician and a valid UK licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside repair, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Operate from a home base and receive a RAC van, tools and diagnostic kit.
