Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to carry out diagnostics and roadside repairs across the UK, using a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years of hands-on experience. You’ll be a calm problem-solver and trusted advisor for RAC members in stressful roadside situations.

You’ll start and finish at home, with your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit provided. A base salary of £36,400 with an OTE around £60,000 awaits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Roadside/Vehicle Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Offer quick, confident solutions and customer reassurance.
