Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish at home, with shifts around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

Requirements include NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years as a technician, and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points. A RAC van, fuel card and tools are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Roadside Technician or vehicle repair technician.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home, with calls managed locally in your area.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on the roadside.
